Changes: Fine Spider Silk

This side quest can be started by talking to Mathilda about the job that she has. She needs five bunches of the finest spider silk extracted from spiders in the Salathin Forest and the Northrealm.

Walkthrough[]

Find the Finest Spider Silk

Explore the wilderness in the Salathin Forest and the Northrealm. Pay attention to the silk that you extract, it has to be fine spider silk, not inferior. The creatures on the hunting list are the Black Widows, Northern Spiders, Shadow Spiders, Moss Crawlers and the Young Moss Crawlers. Once you have collected five bunches of finest silver silk, go back to Erothin.

Come back to Mathilda

The dialogue option to activate handing over the spider silk will be available only on condition that you actually have them in your inventory. As soon as she receives the silk, Mathilda will start preparing the robe she promised for you.

Wait Three Days

As making clothes is not an easy task, Mathilda will ask you to wait three days until she has finished. After three days have passed, your quest will update and inform you that the robe is ready and waiting for you in Mathilda's Leather and Togs. Go there and receive your reward from Mathilda.

Mathilda will eagerly buy from you any other Fine Spider Silk. You can get always 120 Gold for 5 Fine Spider Silk.

10		Mathilda, the merchant for light armor in Erothin, asked me to bring her five bunches of the finest spider silk I can find, extracting it from the spiders in the Salathin Forest and the Northrealm. As a reward, she will produce a special robe out of this silk for me.
20		I handed the silk over to Mathilda. She said I had to wait three days now until my robe will be finished.
25		I should call at Mathilda's store and ask her if my robe is already done.
30		Mathilda gave me the robe. Also, she mentioned that I can still bring her more silk at any time. She will pay me for it.

The silk cannot be obtained from merchants.
The quest itself cannot be finished. It remains open. The step bringing Mathilda more spider silk in bundles of 5 can be repeated over and over.
